Practice Summary
Marcus received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and graduated cum laude from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. After completing his undergraduate course of study, Marcus worked for several years in industry as an Applications Engineer in the Silicon Valley.
He received a J.D. from Santa Clara University in 2006. In his first year at Santa Clara, Marcus received the CALI Award for excellence in Legal Writing and Research. Upon graduating, he was admitted to practice law in California in 2006.
Prior to joining Bozicevic, Field & Francis as an associate in 2009, Marcus worked as an associate with the firm of Blakely, Sokoloff, Taylor & Zafman. He has gained valuable experience in prosecuting patent applications in a wide range of technologies, including: electronics and computers (hardware and software), telecommunications, semiconductor (architecture and fabrication), mechanical devices, networking, and internet technologies. His experience also includes involvement in litigation support, due diligence review, and patent infringement and invalidity opinions.
Currently, Marcus’ practice focuses on intellectual property matters including preparation and prosecution of United States and foreign patent applications for both electrical and mechanical applications.
