Practice Summary
Paula’s practice focuses on patent application drafting and prosecution in biotechnology subject areas including gene therapy, immunology, virology, transgenic animal models, pharmaceuticals, genomics and life science reagents.
Upon completion of her Doctorate degree, Paula was awarded a Humboldt Fellowship and conducted two years of post-doctoral research with Hans-Georg Zachau at the Universitaet Muenchen in Munich, Germany. She subsequently conducted post-doctoral research with Dr. Irving Weissman at Stanford University. Paula then worked with Syntex Corporation before beginning her career in the intellectual property arena in 1996. Paula joined Bozicevic, Field and Francis as a Patent Agent in 1999.
Paula has published several scientific articles in journals such as Molecular Immunology, Nucleic Acids Research, The Journal of Immunology, Proceedings of the National Academy of Science USA, Gene and The Journal of Biological Chemistry.
