Practice Summary
Shweta has expertise in the area of molecular biology, cell biology, developmental biology, neuroscience and genetics. Her extensive laboratory experience encompasses a wide range of techniques including vector design, protein expression and purification, antibody based assays, mammalian cell culture, FRET-based high throughput screening, RNAi design and transfection, quantitative RT-PCR, pulse-chase, protein stability analysis, immunohistochemistry and Drosophila genetics.
Shweta received a B.Sc. (with Honors) in Biochemistry from the University of Delhi, India, an M.Sc. in Biotechnology from Jawaharlal Nehru University, India, and a Ph. D. in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology from the Ohio State University. As a post-doctoral fellow, Shweta conducted biomedical research related to Huntington's disease in Department of Neurology at the University of California, San Francisco.
